DAMEL is a Portuguese textile company headquartered in Póvoa de Varzim, in the north of Portugal. Founded in the early 1980s by David Paiva and Amélia Sá, the company’s name originates from the combination of its founders’ names, reflecting its strong personal and family roots.
Built upon a solid foundation and guided by a close-knit family structure, DAMEL has grown steadily over the decades. Today, the company is managed by the second generation, Vítor and Paula Paiva, who continue to uphold its legacy while leading it towards the future of the textile industry.
Damel bets heavily on innovation, having obtained the certification of its EDI management system, in accordance with the standard NP 4457:2007, thereby increasing the efficiency and performance of the company with regard to research, development and innovation of high added value technical clothing.
